Description

When the CLA-VAL 51-01 is installed in a line between an upper zone and a lower area of heavy demand, the valve acts to maintain desired upstream pressure.When installed near pumps the valve provides protection against surges and dissipates excess pressure. Typical backflow accurs when the valve is installed on a pipe line linking two separate distribution systems and upstream pressure P1 drops. The check valve prevents backflow when P2 > P1.
